Asia-Pacific already has a dominant share of social networking users worldwide. But the region will still lead in net user gain over the next few years due to growth in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Among platforms, Meta’s Facebook and Instagram are ranked first and second in users, but the latter is quickly closing the gap. (Please note that our social media forecast excludes messaging apps like WeChat, Facebook Messenger, and KakaoTalk.)
