The news: Disney is once again raising streaming prices, with new rates taking effect October 21. Disney+ with ads will move up to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free version will climb to $18.99 monthly or $189.99 annually.

• Hulu’s ad-supported plan will increase to $11.99, though its ad-free tier remains unchanged at $18.99. ESPN Select will rise to $12.99, while NFL+ prices will stay flat.
• Bundles are also going up: Disney+ and Hulu with ads will cost $12.99, while Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN bundles will jump by $3. Premium bundles featuring ad-free Disney+ and Hulu will reach $29.99 per month.

Zooming out: These hikes come against a backdrop of rising streaming costs, which have well outpaced inflation. Nearly half of US adults have altered their streaming subscriptions in the past six months, with two-thirds of cancellations tied to high costs, per YouGov.

• Apple TV+ lifted its monthly subscription last month from $9.99 to $12.99—a 30% hike that arrived as US churn rates hit a record 5.5% per month in Q1 2025, up from just 2% in 2019, per Fabric.
• Peacock is following suit, with its Premium plan jumping from $7.99 to $10.99 and Premium Plus climbing to $16.99 per month. Annual packages will also see increases of up to $30.
