The news: A group of three Democratic senators have asked President Donald Trump to work with Congress to extend the April 5 TikTok sale deadline as Trump floats various ideas to keep the app operating in the US.

  • Senators Ed Markey (D-MA), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) are urging Trump to use official channels to avoid further litigation and extend the sale deadline until October, rather than extending the deadline with an executive order.
