The news: Epic is calling for health data exchange company Carequality to publicize a confidential resolution it issued in a patient data privacy dispute between the electronic health record (EHR) titan and health data exchange startup Particle Health.

• The EHR giant and Particle have engaged in a public back and forth that recently culminated in the startup filing an antitrust lawsuit.
• Particle publicly disclosed details of Carequality’s resolution for the first time in its suit, arguing that Epic is using its market dominance to prevent competition in the payer platform space. Epic said Particle publicly mischaracterized the resolution.
