The news: Fubo’s lawsuit against Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery over their planned sports streaming service, Venu Sports, will go to trial on October 6, further delaying the venture’s potential launch.

Venu was blocked by a court injunction in response to Fubo’s lawsuit in August, preventing its debut ahead of the 2024-2025 NFL season and causing it to miss a crucial window to gain potential subscribers.
The presiding judge said she expects the trial to last three to four weeks, potentially pushing Venu’s launch to the middle of the NFL season—if it is able to launch at all.
