The news: Ahead of its earnings report Wednesday, Meta laid off employees in its Reality Labs division.

  • People who worked on VR experiences for the Meta Quest headset and software were among the 100-plus employees laid off, per The Verge.
  • Affected staff members are allowed to apply for other positions at the company.
