The news: Warehouse clubs are off to a strong start in 2025, with January foot traffic and sales climbing at Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s Wholesale Club.

  • Visits rose 7.7% YoY at both Costco and Sam’s Club and gained 7.4% at BJ’s during January, per Placer.ai foot traffic data.
  • Costco reported that its comparable sales rose 7.5% in the four weeks ended February 2.
