The news: Tech executives are questioning their IT teams’ ability to maintain basic services amid growing generative AI (genAI) adoption efforts.

  • Only 50% of C-suite technology executives and about one-thirds (36%) of CEOs believe their IT organization’s basic services are effective, according to IBM’s 2024 Institute for Business Value study.
  • 43% of tech executives cite genAI as the reason for their growing concerns about tech infrastructure.
