Teladoc will acquire Catapult Health for $65 million to combine telehealth with virtual wellness

The news: Teladoc Health struck a deal to acquire virtual preventive wellness company Catapult Health for $65 million. Shares of Teladoc jumped about 6% on Wednesday following the news and another 10% on Thursday at the time of writing.

More on Catapult: It offers at-home diagnostic tests and wellness exams that allow patients to collect a blood sample, check blood pressure, and record other medical screening data that are shared with a nurse practitioner via telehealth visits.

The company operates in the B2B healthcare market, selling its digital health programs to employers and health plans that offer Catapult’s services to their members.
